Dr. August de Oliveira graduated in the top 10% of his class at the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1997. After moving to Los Angeles from Seattle, Dr. Oliveira did an optional additional year in General Practice Residency at the VA Sepulveda, where he learned advanced techniques in Endodontics (root canals), Dental Implants, and Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. August de Oliveira, lectures weekly all over the world on 4 primary subjects: CAD/CAM (same day crowns) CBCT (3D x-rays) dental implants and 3D printing. On implants he lectures from the basics of single tooth implants, to advanced edentulous (no teeth) treatment. He has been published in many peer review journals and is widely recognized as a pioneer in CBCT guided surgery. Dr. de Oliveira has developed software for numerous dental companies and has authored 3 text books on dental implants and 3D printing.
Course Title: Incorporating 3D Printing In Your Everyday Practice
Synopsis:
3D Printing is all the rage these days. Dr. August de Oliveira will show how to incorporate this into your dental practice. Dr. Oliveira will show what and how he 3D prints in his practice. He will cover in-office aligners, surgical guides, and provisionals for cosmetic and implant restorations. Dr. de Oliveira will also cover the steps needed to create 3D-Hybrid, cosmetic mock ups and digital dentures including 3D-printed flexible partials. Dr. de Oliveira will cover the most popular 3D printers on the market, as well as the resins used.
Learning Objectives:
Learn how a 3D Printer works and which ones are the best on the market. Learn about all the resins used in 3D printing. Learn about software to design restorations, dentures and surgical guides. Learn steps involved in making a digital hybrid and steps involved in scanning and 3D printing for full dentures and flexible partials.
